Today in reading, we read a short story called "Flying Away". This story was realistic fiction. We then took notes on the characteristic of realistic fiction novels. Students then used their time to read to self or respond to reading. I pulled a few kids to confer with as did Mrs. Bewersdorf.
During writing today, we talked about bridging one sentence to another. I showed examples on the board and asked students to go back into their writing to work on this in their compare/contrast essays. Students had conferences on this writing as well.
In science this afternoon, I did the same lesson with 6S as I did with 6F yesterday. Please check yesterday's blog.
We ended our day in the cafeteria playing Scrabble with our 4th grade buddies.
Please remember that there is no school on Thursday due to Veteran's Day.
